Emerging from the Cascadian gloom of Vancouver Canada, the blackened post-metal trio’s dramatic atmospheric sound resonates as far larger than the three-piece ensemble who create it. With dynamic, immersive and emotionally searing songwriting akin to post-rock giants Godspeed You! Black Emperor, LUCIA's sound is resonant of contemporary post-metal pioneers Isis and renowned Cascadian Black-Metal band, Wolves in the Throne Room.
With a sound as heavy and dark as it is thoughtful and polished, their captivating live show carefully weaves between fragile, elegant and melancholy into drastic and pummeling doom, black and sludge metal.
The band has shared the stage with Wormwitch, Seer, Feeding, Seven Nines and Tens, Heron, Actors, Douse, Frankie, Tulip, Hallux, Quietus, Weeper, Econoline Crush, Griefwalker and A Collective Subconscious.
LUCIA is Jade Fadel-Guitar, George Allen-Bass/Vocals and Kris Vetz-Drums
“... a very dark and emotionally heavy trip, with mountainous low-end frequencies and desolating riffs providing the gloomy gravitational pull, and scorching vocal agony and fury magnifying the atmosphere of desolation.”
